Marty is the Assistant Director of DETS (Distance Education Technology and Services) at the University of Maryland College Park. DETS is responsible for providing the A/V technology for the Clark Schools Educational outreach mission. Since becoming Assistant Director, Marty has guided DETS through significant growth in enrollments every semester and last year opened a new $3 million Learning Center. He holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the Univ. of Maryland College Park, a Technology Management Certificate from The George Washington Univ., and an MS in Telecommunications Mgmt. from the University of Maryland, University College. He has been active in ASEE’s Continuing Professional Development Division since 2003, earning Best Session award (CIEC 2011) and Best Speaker award (CIEC 2012).
